out of all those choices, id get the 07 civic.
if the 07civic didnt have a front end crash (meaning the engine hasnt been touched) then its actually a pretty decent deal.
the 8th gen civics are much better than the 6th gens. you'll have a newer engine and it'll give u less trouble then a model that is almost 10 years older.

but its hard to go to that when
theres better running/looking ones for cheaper.
im looking into
this 99civic for 4,000
98 civic for 5,000
95 civic for 3200
all clean title only one is 87,000 miles and that is 99 civic
these would be my choices.
the
99
95
98
or
07

Yeah, I would go with the 98 Civic. Coupe is a must...Me personally, I think those models were the best Civic body styles...More engine room. Since ur going with and older model Civic, you should go manual...just a thought

Manual is easy, once you get used to it. Believe me it won't take long either. My first manual was a 97 VW Golf I bought 3 years ago. My friend took me in an empty parking lot and showed me the basics for about 15 minutes, then I drove it in the city myself, I stalled once and that was starting on a hill.
Once you're used to it you don't even think about the shifting any more, it just comes naturally. Just get someone you know that can drive a manual and has some patience to help you get started. And don't worry about burning up the clutch, as long as you take your time and don't go popping or riding the clutch you'll do fine.
They are more fun to drive and you have more control over the RPM's and your mileage.
I was 25 when I started driving manual and I regret not driving one from the get go, but I won't go back to auto ever again.

Finding a manual civic won't be an issue, there is always one for sale somewhere, but in the end buy what you want to drive.
As for salvage title cars, try looking at reputable places and get the car looked at by a trustworthy garage. If the car had only minor damage such as dings/dents or a new fender then that's nothing. If the car had major repairs like twisted chassis or the front end was shot to **** then I would steer clear.
Like most people have said, try buying something that hasn't been in an accident.
You are young and you don't want to end up buying a car that might start sucking the money out of you and not in a good way.

Bro, I'm telling you go manual. I'm not knocking any of you auto drivers out there. But Honda's were made to be "Man Handled" Automatics just don't do it. I drive an '02 Civic EX. I love every bit of it. I posted pix on the 2001-2003 Member car pix thread...Last page. It's like need for speed shift, only in real life. Just like EM2Newf said, Find a friend to teach you in a parking lot. You can learn in one day, believe me. Once you go stick u neva go back. In no time, u wont even have to look at the RPMs anymore, just listen to the engine...it talks to you...lol I'm all about research too, find exactly what you want. But to be honest, If I could do it all over again, I would definitely get a 2000 Civic SI
