ok, first off, not to be a dick, but we only have one "header". Headers refers to multiple. I am pretty sure they make a header for automatic trannys. I know the DC Sports and the HP header will fit, but I think you might have to trim something. Look at Dezod.com or Truehonda.com

stock header gives the best performance, since the runners are exactly port matched to the head. larger runners = slower gas flow and power loss. if you want a header just for the sake of having one, get the dc sports. same diameter pipes as stock, and it looks nice. i actually got mine jet coated (jet-hot.com) so it keeps heat in better and out of the engine bay.

4-2-1 tends to flow better than the 4-1 because it tends to help blend the exhaust pulse better instead of just dumping it from 4 all into one.

4-2-1 vs 4-1
4-2-1
Four exhaust ports on the head that each have their own pipe (this is the "4") that come together and dump into just two pipes (this is the "2") that dump into one pipe (this is the 1) that connects up to the next section of exhaust piping. These are usually dubbed as race headers because they eliminate the cat due to the extra long piping.
4-1
Four exhaust ports on the head that each have their own pipe (this is the "4") that all come together and dump into one pipe (this is the "1") that connect up to the cat converter.

Just throw it on, and see. Your stock header could have a lot of carbon build up on the inside that is restricting the outflow compared to the outflow of the dc header your buddy has. If it isnt worth it, then just switch it back- you really dont have anything to loose- changing a header isnt very complicated.

Re: question about headers??
i dont have any experience with header. especially i have a LX, i dont want to mess with the CAT.
But from what i heard, DC header is the only header for our car that smooth out the power band. Ther others just shift the power to the top end.

nope wont work. unless you convert the whole rest of the exhaust system and cat to the ex setup.
