Exhaust recommendations

Hey guys,

I am looking into buying an exhaust system for my 2014 Si, and looking for some recommendations. I have been checking out a few on procivic.com:

- Skunk2 MegaPower
- MagnaFlow performance exhaust
- Takeda

I'm looking for something with a deep sound, and will eventually get headers on it at some point in the near future. Also, would you recommend getting a high flow cat for it and installed at the same time?

Re: Exhaust recommendations

Does your engine have a exhaust manifold? Don't all 4 ports come out in 1 large flange? CatCon bolts directly to flange?

Re: Exhaust recommendations

Have you checked YouTube for each exhaust and what it sounds like?

If you want a high flow cat it would be best to have it done with the exhaust.

I believe all exhaust ports come out 1 large flange at the back of the engine and to the down pipe.

Re: Exhaust recommendations

Couple more questions:

1) Would it make sense to get a catback system and put it on the stock Honda header? If so, what's the size of pipe for the 2014 Civic Si?

2) Will an exhaust shop even install a full length exhaust (headers/exhaust) without the CC for you?

Re: Exhaust recommendations

Have the Borla catback that I bought from 4 wheel online. This exhaust has a nice loud sound and no drone at all. A bit pricey but the finish is good and
constructed very nicely. I know some guys who have the Magnaflow and Takeda, and they sound great as well.
