seeing as how everyone has a boost thread...id figure id show you all what ive been up to.
it all started after boilermaker built his motor at home and brought it to my shop to drop it in. Once we got it running and he took me out for a spin...i was really impressed. His car was faster at part throttle than my car was at WOT under full boost. To make matters worse, he had a spare vtec head, so obviously the temptation was there. Soon after the head came the ARP head studs, Crower springs and retainers, stage 2 turbo cam, an enourmous OEM parts/gaskets order, a new turbo, return fuel conversion, hondata kpro...so on and so fourth. Then I figured, what the hell, I taught my gf how to drive stick in my car...im sure the clutch is almost gone. So soon enough I had a new clutch and flywheel on the way. At this point, the credit card has just about had it, so I finally decided to get a return on my investment.
not everything is pictured, but you get the idea..
vtec head, milled, cleaned, new seals, crower everything, blue vtec condom
we pulled the motor on monday, because I was waiting on the custom hondata cam gear to arrive. In the mean time, we dropped the new head on the block, did all the tranny stuff and just waited. Tuesday came, nothing...it sucked. Finally, wednesday at noon, we had a cam gear.
think vin diesel, when he drops the radiator into the rice rocket..
coworker convinced it can't be done in 4 hours..
shes ready to go back into her home..
it got hectic after this point, but it's done.
we knocked a ton off the list today.
Rebuilding the motor, dropping it in, setting up the kpro, setting up other new components such as radiator fans, figuring out how to add vtec to my non-vtec engine harness, pressing in my new ES LCA bushings (really tightens up the cars handling FYI), etc. The car is NA for now, Im waiting on a boost control solenoid to arrive, along with some T-bolt clamps and for my welder to get back from vacation next week to make me a downpipe. But between now and then i still have a ton of work to do. AND today is my last day of my summer class, AND it's my birthday, so w00t, time to get wasted.

Good stuff Edwin! I won't post any gay pics like we did for MURDOCK but...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Are you going to be running a catch can instead of the PCV valve? Figured it might have been easier to pull the assembly off the back of the motor when it was out of the car. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.
I'm jealous though. You have access to you work's setup (lift, chain pulleys, etc...) to get this done. That's cool that they let you work on your car at their site. Doing all this crap in my 1/2 car British garage gets a little old after a while. Nice to see progress and I'm glad you're not the only one who has to wait to get your boost (again). ****, Drew posted a "Day 1" and then was done on "Day 2". Make me nuts.
Look forward to more and hope you drink yourself into oblivion on your b-day!

I was boosted for over a year before i popped the head gasket and then got to this point.
Thanks for the birthday wishes clint! Im running a moroso catch can and a straight barb fitting that replaced my PCV. getting to it was fairly easy with the motor still in the car. I was in no way planning to get done in one day. Dropping the turbo back in and having the downpipe made will only take a few hours, but my goal was to pull the motor, rebuild it, and drop it back in as fast as i could, the rest could wait. I actually need my car everyday. The days it was out of comission sucked :-\

you drop a vtec cylinder head on the nonvtec block and run a wire to the ecu.
