ya but i need a car. even if i somehow sell this one, i would look into getting an older car after all this bad experience. i donno. i'm gonna keep it for a while cause there is still warranty and when the warranty ends i'll decide. still 2 years left. i really like the car just hate that crap is always breaking.

well mods dont change the hundreds of tsbs and recalls for the car. look at the thousands of posts in the problems forum. i am not saying all hondas are bad, just the 01+ that i hear all the problems about. honda quality has seriously gone down hill. if i did get a different one, it would be an older honda.
7th gens do suck (even though i have one) the best and most reliable thing you could do is a k series swap! Might as well get a EK or EG and build them. Easier, much more parts available, and much more worth it

The sad thing is that IMO the 7th gen was the best looking "civic". The 8th gen doesn't count, it's a complete departure. But it's not bad.
I really want to find out how to get around the Cali smog BS. I'd love to do a K swap, but it has to be legal and hassle free. I don't have the time or desire to dodge the BS in Cali.
I think a good K swap is the best thing for this car.
BTW, aznboysrfr, I really liked yours even though it was still a little rough around the edges. It sounded sweet, too.

if you didn't hear yet, hondaluver has successfully BAR'ed and smogged his K20A3 swap into his EM2... even though it's a K20A3, I don't believe a K20A2 would be a problem at all... so if you're worried about legal issues, I wouldn't ;P

I think he's building up all his internals on the k24 so he's using the k20a3 to drive till its finished being built.
