BTW what are your current mods. They used to include:

Alright, then let me ask why you used an older ODBII Type R ECU to hook up to a D17 that you claim you converted from coil-on ignition to distributor. It's just stupid. It gains you nothing! And you do all of this work, but then claim you're going to redline at 10,000rpm and tune with an AFC? You have no clue WTF you're talking about. Putting that ECU on your D17 and converting to a distributor system is as useful as putting on an exhaust tip from Auto zone. (Shawn Church was nice enough to offer this reply to me when I asked him about your claimed setup. He stated that while though possible, it would be utterly pointless... and even more pointless would be to use an AFC after doing all of this)

You can't use Hondata's flash on the ECU to up the redline, because the mappings given to the ECU will not work with your D17 engine. So the only way to get your redline is to use a stand alone Engine Management system such as the AEM EMS. However, you can't do that, as you have now converted your D17 to a distributor system, which means the mappings for your engine will not work on the car as all D17 mappings would have coil-on ignition mappings programmed. And you can't use any other ODBII distributor engine mappings, because none will match the D17's engine.

so do tell us how you're going to magically up your redline to 10,000rpm. Also since you claim to have converted to a distributor system, what is your ignition timing? How many degrees?

umm thats wrong atleast in obd-1 ecu's. my neighbor is running an intergra gs-r ecu on his built d16z cause of the excess fuel he needs. and he has a ecu i think it is a p08 or something, that he chipped and converted to vtec on his daughters 93 civic. but anyways i call bs on this thread until i see soem pics.
