what did you do with the plugs that were in the 04 but not the 02? on the 02 blue connector its missing...
white/red
green/yellow
red/black
blue/orange
so do you just forget about them and leave them hanging out or what?
also i use the wire harness's i have now right? i dont need to get 04 harness's?

Rep Power: 811 well i think you just rewire the existing plug. Pull out the pins and plug them in different spots.

Rep Power: 400 yeah i just read that but the blue plug for the 03 cluster has wires that the 02 doesnt have. i just need to know what should i do for those wires.

Rep Power: 400 according to the DIY you unplug wires from your 02 cluster harness and reconnect them according to a 03 cluster harness. but the 03 cluster has 4 wires that a 02 cluster doesnt have. so what would i do? just dont plug anything into those 4 spots?

Rep Power: 400 and its the opposite for the green plug. the 01 harness has wires that the 03 doesnt have, so i assume i just wouldnt do anything with those. so thats the only thing confusing me so i sent a PM to infinite and caucasian.asian.

in this picture we see that the 2004 honda civic VP (a.k.a. old school gauges) have the following wires that connect to either nothing or to the green plug:
white/red stripe
green/yellow stripe
red/black stripe
blue/orange stripe
now some of those MAY or MAY NOT be needed for this DIY to be complete, but i am unsure of what i did, at the moment. also, i have no way of checking the wiring because my sister drives the car now, whereas i am left with my miata. go me
on the green plug, we have the following wires that will NOT be present in your existing [green plug] wiring:
blue/orange stripe (will need to be moved from blue plug to green)
pink (will need to be moved from blue plug to green)
red/black stripe (will need to be moved from blue plug to green)
blue/red stripe (probably not needed, so stick it in an arbitrary (read: not used) spot)
blue/yellow stripe (probably not needed, so stick it in an arbitrary (read: not used) spot)
green/yellow stripe (will need to be moved from blue plug to green)

Rep Power: 433 it's cake, gearbox. i'll probably end up doing something in excel so that it's easier to understand what goes where. in fact, i'll start doing that now. i'll probably be done in an hour or so

there is the wiring chart! hope this helps (and i REALLY hope it makes sense.)
the box with 2 wires that are 2 different colors is a tricky one. you'll have to test to see which one makes it work. or you could try splicing the two wires together and hope to the car gods that you don't blow a fuse...or the cluster...or your car.
