turns out its only gonna run the insurance about 4500 to fix. with aftermarket (non OEM) fenders and hood. which isnt so bad i guess.
im not a huge fan of the AM parts not that they are that crappy but if i were you i would see if you can work out a deal with the shop and see if you can pay the diff between the AM and the OEM. Mostly a fitment issue realy and a good shop wont have a problem with it but sometimes the diff between an OE and an AM is like 50$ and the ins co allways wants to pay for the cheaper of the two. Guess im just a purist, the though of Am parts would bother me. Im not saying that CF hoods and the alike suck thats a whole diff story. just the AM stuff that replaces OE

I agree with you...luckily my insurance company got SUED many times for the aftermarket parts that have been put on instead of OEM...so now they only use OEM parts...wooot

i just cant agree with you on that, im a firm disbeliever that cars are different after repairs. It just doesnt make sense to me. Besides the anti rust and original welds...just as long as everything is repaired to factory specifications, i just dont see how the car is gonna be any different.
anyways, as far as non-oem, if i had my way, id get all OEM, but i can't do anything about it.
