FlipFlop Trunk: Concerns

I just did Trunk FlipFlop.

Welded the posts and screwed the trunk, will take a pic later.

So far i have three concerns to take care about:

1.- The trunk dont close in the back part as "intended" to be.

2.- Now that the posts dont have the trunk to be "in line" the trunk goes down shaky, so it can be closed easily.

3.- I dont like how the trunk latch sits in the grommet of the trunk and how it opens in the going..

NOW i'm dont complaining if some one gets it that way.. What im looking for is for ideas to place maybe springs, gas shocks or anything you have in mind to:

As it opnes the trunk will fold slowly (gas shocks maybe) and at the same time stop it at "altitude" so the trunk latch does not touch de grommet..

And also, so far to make it close even i have used the 2 screws that go in the bottom but that eliminates the hole thing about having a FF trunk. So if anyone got ideas on how to "secure" the trunk to close even without making it look ghetto would be nice for me and for everyone that does it in a future time.
