Sounds familiar:

#1 immobilizer flashing, MIL on solid.

#2 Engine will not go past 1500.

#3 Starts to accelerate, dies, bucks, idles rough.

#4 Don't know about the speedo - but tach and temp gauges don't work at all.

I didn't put anything together wrong - it hasn't been apart. I was just driving it. It bucked hard, twice, then started this crap. It popped the alternator lock bolt and lost the alternator belt at the same time. Replaced them - but, of course, it didn't fix the real problem.

I have no answers yet. Came here looking for info. I'm going to pull the codes after I get off work tonight. I'll post any answers when I figure it out. My impression is: ECU related.

So far, I'm not very impressed with the reliability of this car. It is my first Honda (car - have had several Honda motorcycles). The alternator broke at 39k. Honda said, "Sorry. It is out of warranty. That'll be $580 to fix it."

Now at only 4 years old, it is giving symptoms of a crapped out ECU. I hope not...
