Yeah no data usually means a bad ECU. Check the alternator bolts since you just did a timing belt install, they've been known to fry ecu's if they loosen up.

^^^This.
Loose alternator bolts cause overcharging and fry PCMs due to overvoltage.

Got a different scanner to try? Has this scanner you are using worked on this car before?

Got a friends car you can swap with? Wait, the immobilizer won't let that work, will it? Probably not.

I have seen one toasted PCM from this, but have seen more than one that had loose alt hardware and some of the symptoms, and lived fine after tightening them.

A quick google gave me these

Re: Help.think the computer might have went

I'm curious if the timing belt job and the current problem coincided with each other.
Scanner does power up thru the DLC, right? Not a blown fuse for the DLC or nothing like that?
Lightning strike? Something had to happen to kill the thing. They are pretty darn reliable unless it went overvoltage somehow or an output got shorted (but that usually only wipes the output transistor for that particular circuit)....make sure you check the alternator too before this is over.
I suppose all you can do is check powers and grounds for the PCM and draw a conclusion from that. No data sure sounds like a bad PCM though.
Boy, I'd hate to pull the trigger on a PCM and be wrong.

Open up the PCM and look for burns? IDK.

Re: Help.think the computer might have went

Is that when this happened? Arc/MIG/TIG can wreck electronics if done wrong.

Probably going to be tough to prove.....I bet someone would have known something was drastically wrong before it left the body shop. Good luck gettin anyone to step up.

Insurance? Get them involved?
