They are the same. It's an RSX bar, not a Type S bar.

Acura.com says so.

It also means it's nearly impossible to not find one super cheap as RSX owners upgrade from the 19mm bar to 22mm and thicker.

As per Acura Carland...

It's 19mm on the 2002 base. I've never heard of a 17mm bar ever.

Only 12mm on EX, 15mm on Si, 19mm on RSX and 22mm on Hype R.

I'm pretty sure the brochure for the RSX says 19mm for both cars.

from the acura canada website, it said that the rear bar is 18mm for the stock, and 19mm for the type-S.

I bought the 22mm bar off of a&j racing in richmond BC for aboot $150 canadian...well worth it!

So, is the base rsx sway bar 18mm? If so, how much better would the Type S sway bar perform?

In the US, F/R for base/Type S is 23mm/19mm.

The 18mm is from Canada's lowest version as they have base, premium, and type S (something like that).

its called CANADA, canada gets the RSX in 3 flavors and well..we have 3 different combos of sway-bars

RSX base 23mm front/18mm rear
Premium 23mm front/19mm rear
Type-S 24.2mm front/19mm rear
that beefier front bar for the S wasnt there last year I think thats new.

Bellz, you should get that chart stickied. I'm always referring to it, because these questions come up a lot.

It has been added to one of the FAQs but I can't update it. I will be updating everything sometime this month.

Thanks for the comment, but I have no control over stickying any of the stuff I created for my DX-R site. It's simply a resource for the DX/HX guys, with some other content thrown in for good measure. I need to get off my **** and come up with some new stuff. I have a few ideas that may materialize within a couple weeks.
