The thing about Chinese stuff depends on the amount of money you pay for it's manufacturing.
You can give the a $150 watch and tell them to make one just like it with a $150 budget and they will replicate the watch and it will be amazing quality, just like the original.
However if you take the same $150 dollar watch and tell them to make it for 5 bucks, they will make one that looks exactly the same but with crap materials that will break easier and faster.
The Chinese are capable of making good stuff, however it's usually the people that are dealing with them that want it to be cheap.

cheap metal does that but i agree on your point. why would they drill all new holes to mount them. oh, prolly because one of the stock holes was messed. im guessing something happened to cause the first pair to break the hole, and they tried to fix it by making new holes. its hard to guess without a story.

maybe some people are tired of their car and want it totaled so they can buy something new? lol there are prolly safer ways of doing it tho like crash into a pole going 5mph.

Ok so I know I've asked about the d2's and the KW, but after a little more research I came upon these megan racing street series. I actually saw them on this other thread on the site, on "dnarahP's car. Also I think the price is right... what do u guys think? Before I order them

Re: D2 RS Coilovers VS. KW Variant 2
im thinking of upgrading to progress coilovers from my d2's
lol
At the time i was in high school and said F*** it
so now its time to upgrade
d2s are nice for a really low ride
i have mine on 20 towards stiff
20 outa 36
1 being all the way soft
36 being all stiff
ride isnt horrible ive felt alot worse but thats because that car was on tokico blues and dc sports springs
anyway my point is go for the progress and not having to regret buying d2's
my 2 cents
lol

Ah, this is pretty confusing. I dont want it to be a very harsh ride thats all. If I go with progress then I wont be able to adjust. Now if it's still a smooth ride, then i'll get it, and thats it

I haven't ridden in a car with progress, but lowlife knows his stuff so even though comfort is subjective I wouldn't be overly concerned that the ride will be harsh. Of course, this brings us right back to koni yellow/ground control as a good option. Good quality, adjustable, and around $1k.
