Eibach sportline kit, anygood?

i am going to lower my car soon and i noticed that i can get a kit with eibach sportline 1.4" drop springs and front and rear sway bars for around 600 bucks. My question is, will i notice much of a difference by getting the sway bars. I just want to make my car sit a little lower and take the turns a little better. has anyone tried this kit before? or should i only get the lowering springs?

is this kit anygood ?

http://performance-suspension.eibach...ookup_products

its on this link.

thanks,

Jay

The sway bars are worthless, the rear is only 16mm and you want something much larger than that. The RSX type-s has large sway bars you can swap in and they are easy to find used, but if you want a huge upgrade then look into progress and spoon sways.

Just adding the Sportline springs made my civic handle like a whole new car, plus made it look great too. Could take corners a lot faster without even feeling like it was trying.

Re: Eibach sportline kit, anygood?

The sway bars are not good. front is larger and the rear, but the rear need to be much stiffer. Mine are in the shelf now and swapped for the rear progress. i am almost willing to take the stock front off.
Also, these springs will likely kill the stock shocks if you have them.
Without rear camber and this drop, you will likely have a piggy understeer. Mine pro's already did it at 1 drop. yours will be worse.

Re: Eibach sportline kit, anygood?

the only acceptable lower springs (IMO) is neuspeed. wHy? because it lowers the front a little more than the rear.

this is important so that ur car doesnt look awkward. if u notice, sportlines n many other spring companies lower all 4 corners teh same.

go outside and look at ur car, the front actually has a lot more fender gap than the rear. so if u lower it, ur rear will almost eliminate the fender gap while ur front will have noticeably more gap than the rear.

you'll look like the mexican cars that drive around here. just my 02

H&R lower the front a little more than the rear as well and they have a better reputation for springs than neuspeed.

Skunk2 suspension parts don't have a very good reputation, so I wouldn't even consider buying them regardless. Aside from that though, once you change your struts if you want to go with tokico hp then you can't drop more than 1.8 inches, anymore and they'll blow. That means you need the much more expensive koni or kyb agx struts.

Re: Eibach sportline kit, anygood?

I have the sportlines and I like them a lot, but sl33pyriceboi is right about the gap. There is definitely a larger gap in the front, but its not enough for me to care too much. I have blues and a camber kit too which I would definitely recommend doing at the same time. If nothing else, you'll save money not having to get it aligned more than once.

If you haven't bought them yet I got them here http://www.autoanything.com/suspensi...A2619A0A0.aspx I'm not trying to spam or anything, I have legitimate experience with them.

They had good customer service and they always have a deal going on for new customers (10% right now) and free shipping. It was the cheapest site I found and I scoured the internet for a good couple weeks when I did my drop. I got my blues at the same site.

Your car won't light on fire and explode if you roll with lowering springs on stock struts, but every time you have a girl in your car she'll complain non-stop about how the horrible bumpy ride makes her **** bounce.

you will be ok. you will still see handling performance increase.

then in the summer, you can get some new struts, and you see really appreciate having proper struts too. its like a learning/appreciation curve.

the only drawback is the expense of time/money though. lol

The k20 is completely torn apart at the moment, I'm building the internals before I do the swap. An opportunity came up to buy a totaled RSX this weekend so I could do the swap right away, but the person destroyed the radiator in the crash and didn't shut the engine off so they blew the head gasket. big disappointment.. oh well..
