Re: Lowering my 04 Civic EX

you should wait on the rims, and lower it first, depending on what setup u get, to see how much clearance u've got to work with.

but yeah, dont stay on the stock shocks for long, get some tokicos

Re: Lowering my 04 Civic EX

not really familiar with coilovers, but for the time of driving i do, i like my tokico hp blues. if u want something a little more performance oriented (and pricey) get the tokico d-specs, they're also adjustable. i do know that coilovers are gonna run u more than just shocks/springs by themselves for the most part

Re: Lowering my 04 Civic EX

Blues (HPs) are awesome they're a great street shock.. I think eBay has them cheapest, but if eBay scares you (like it scares me) .. get them here
http://thmotorsports.com/default.aspx

I'd e-mail them about pricing.. they'll hook you up, ask for Eddie.

Re: Lowering my 04 Civic EX

and that makes it 200 dollars cheaper? I dunno but I think i'll just order them from ebay for about 375 with shipping...still not sure what kind of springs to get though might get the neuspeed but not sure..im looking for a bigger drop in the front then the rear since my system is heavy as hell...mayb about 1.5 in the front and 1.25 in the back?

Re: Lowering my 04 Civic EX

that'd work.. but don't go any lower than 1.5" .. blues have been shown to go that low but not more than 1.5 gl w/ eBay too

Re: Lowering my 04 Civic EX

OR should I just purchase a CoilOver Kit...How about Skunk2 or Tein Basic Coilovers?...or will I see better performance on Nuespeed Sports and Tokico Blues?

Re: Lowering my 04 Civic EX

well a spring/shock combo is way cheaper if you're not planning on doing auto-x .. coilovers are nice but if you plan on keeping the ride height/stiffness the same you might as well get the spring/shock combo.. also every time you adjust the coilovers you need an allignment
