konis squeeking, need some input
konis squeeking, need some input
I have an 03 coupe ex. So I am lowered on Koni yellows and goldline. I had a shop do the install so I am not to familier with the workings of it all. I've been lowerd on this setup for about a year and a half. Have had a slight squeek for about half a year, and when I took it in for an alignment the squeek has gotten pretty bad. Sitting still if I even turn the wheel left and right it creeks pretty badly. Mainly just from the passenger front side. I think I may up heard the driverside acting up a bit.
I absolutly hate the noise. If someone could give me an idea of what to check or what I need to do to fix it I would be very greatful.
THanks in advance.

Re: konis squeeking, need some input
It may have nothing to do with your dampers. 1st thing to check is if the spring is seated properly in its perch. after that i'd check to see if there is any play in the tie rod end. Then I'd check to see if the bottom bolt on the konis is tight (mine came loose once in four+ years). and finally I'd check to see if the main strut bearing is still good.
