Re: Need some SERIOUS help.

sir you're causing a scene. i'm going to have to ask you to calm down. but with the endlinks, just put a ton of wd40 on them and wait like 10 mins for it to soak in. thats how i did mine. and i use a socket wrench to loosen the nut at first. then i finished taking it off with the allen wrench and an open ended wrench. you're going to have to use some force. the endlinks arent going to break if you're careful. and please dont ever say "sum bitch" again...

Re: Need some SERIOUS help.

My bad... Had to take a breather. I been sprayin the endlink nuts with WD40, a TON of it. What Im a do tomorrow if its not rainin out is drown it with sum more WD40 and use the open wrench I been using jus to loosen it and finish it off wit the Allen key like u stated. But when usin force, whats the chances of the endlinks breakin??? Im scared to use so much force.

Thanks

thats not what i said at all... i started it off with a socket wrench and finished with an allen wrench and open ended wrench. and you'd know if it were about to break, just try not to break it.

Re: Need some SERIOUS help.

your end links are pretty hard to break.. and if u do break them, oem ones get sold for like 20 bucks on here all the time... if that. You need to use force, I mean ****, your sway bar hasnt fallen off over the 50k miles you've driven has it... So, let it soak over night in WD40, or liquid wrench, or whatever you choose. And also, if you still cant get them off (btw, have to use the wrench and the alen key at the same time- hopefully your doing that) slide a pipe over the end of the wrench, it'll give you more torque- you might need a buddy to hold the allen wrench, or maybe use a clamp if you can get it to stay. enjoy.

Thanks a lot y'all. What Im a do is go out there and spray sum WD40, let it soak and try it out 2morrow. Im a see how it goes and hopefully I don't break a thing. But to clear me straight into the right path, at first to loosen it do I need to use the allen wrench or can i jus loosen it then when the nut starts 2 budge, use the allen wrench right a way?

Re: Need some SERIOUS help.

You can use a socket until the allen key starts to turn with it. Once that happens, you're not doing anything other than spinning it in it's hole. Its probabaly tight enough that it won't spin at first, so you shouldn't need the allen right away. Once it starts to spin, then switch to the wrench and allen key.

Good luck man...It's a tough job no matter how you do it, but it'll go eventually. Don't worry about breaking them either...you can th new ones for cheap (as mentioned) and it's not a problem to drive w/o a sway for a while. It handles horribly, but it's perfectly fine.

Re: Need some SERIOUS help.

Yep, I stripped out both my fronts (the allen key hole) and ended up cutting them off and buying new ones. The UK doesn't have PB Blaster.
