Scraping on my new suspension

Before I get bashed for not searching, my question has not been answered in other threads, as far as I can tell. I have an 04 sedan, stock tires and "deluxe wheel covers" I just bought Tokico HP struts and H & R springs. The drop from the springs is 1.3 inches all around. So my problem is, I have a Type R lip kit installed with a Greddy Evo Exhuast. Has anybody with this setup have problems scraping? I live in Florida so hills aren't really a problem, just speedbumps. Any opinions would be helpful. Thanks guys

Re: Scraping on my new suspension

do not hit speedbumps head on..if you hit them at about a 45 degree angle you should get over without scraping, and go very slow, if cars honk at you, give them the bird, i clear them just fine and im lowered about 2 inches all around

Sweet! Thats good news to hear, I was just outside looking at how low my front and back ends were already, and now I'm praying I don't scratch on anything.

Re: Scraping on my new suspension

Ouch yea that sucks, I figure if my Greddy keeps scraping I'm just going to get my muffler shop to raise the can. Maybe cut the bumper a little bit if I have too.

Re: Scraping on my new suspension

i got sportlines on stock shocks with a greddy evo2 catback..its a 1.5 drop all around with 1 finger gap and i scraps everytime i go over speedbumps..
i try goin sideways and do a slow stop on top of the speed bumps then drop down slowly..still scraps..i even scrap the mall speedbumps when i have 2 of my friends in the car with me while goin out ..

but i thought that when it scraps it normally in the middle of the car of the pipes.. not the exhaust..soo no point of raising the exhaust up higher and make it ugly...my car scraps in the middle while going down the speedbumps..the exhaust is in good condition..no stratchs or damage..
this picture is taken on stock fat 5s..

i love slowing down in the middle of the road and totally pissing everyone off, or slowing down and then having some idiot ride my *** forever and purposely driving about 10mph just to spite them.

Re: Scraping on my new suspension

I dont know about you guys but I am droped 2.5" on 215/40/17 tires with a heavy system in the trunk and I rarely scrape my GReddy EVO muffler. The only part that ever really scrapes it eh mid pipe because our cars design sucks for that.

Other than that... you just need to practice different angles and approaches to getting over those bumps in the road
