Leaking Struts

Well for the past month of so my car has been making noises when i turn and hit bumps. I took it in to midas and they said i needed 2 new front struts because they are starting to leak. Im looking for a fairly cheap replacement ? any ideas.. and if i can get a set with springs so i can lower my car a bit that would be awesome. Thanks

Re: Leaking Struts

I had the same problem for the second time on the passenger side strut. I replaced all shocks and struts with KYB AGX shocks and struts. I got them from www.tirerack.com. I also opted for the Eibach ProLine springs. The KYB AGX has a lifetime warranty IF YOU USE FACTORY/OEM SPRINGS or something with a "mild" drop (1.5" or less). I just talked to them today so this is correct. The factory Honda replacement struts carry a 12 month 10,000 to 12,000 warranty. The AGX is a LIFETIME warranty. Hope this helps. Rep if it does.....

Re: Leaking Struts

540cdn thats nuts. They're only $360US at truehonda.com and i dont think installation is that difficult if u kinda know suspension. I just got the same bad news yesterday. Im actually thinkin coilovers may be the way to go but i'll prolly end up gettin blues and an H&R or Prokit lowering springs

Re: Leaking Struts

i just installed 4 kyb gr-2's and im real happy with thier performance and ride at a cost thats not WAY high. I would recomend them to anyone that is in need. They may not be the best for road race but they are a hell of a lot better than the stock As for the noise i would get a second opinion. I've seen VERY few struts ever that were in bad enough shape to make a noise that you possibly are describing.
