I was driving my 1992 Honda Civic Dx that I just got yesterday around my neighborhood and I forgot to turn my emergency break off. I must of been riding around for about 10 mins when all of a sudden my breaks give out. I managed to make it back to my house in one piece and when I stopped and checked my car there was whitish smoke coming from my rear right tire. There was also fluid leaking from it. Now when I start my car the break pedal goes all the way down to the floor and will not break. Anybody have any suggestions of what might be wrong? Hopefully I didn't completely mess up my car that I just got yesterday

E brake should be a cable and have nothing to do with the rest of your braking system. Probably your rear wheel cylinder is leaking causing the puddle and brake pedal failure. Take the wheel off and investigate.

Are you sure about the emergency brake not being connecting to the main brake system? My uncle told me over text that civics tie their main brake in with the e brake but im not sure if he's right. i hope that the e brake and main brake system are seperate. let me know

The point of having an emergency brake is if your brakes fail then it's the emergency brake. A cable system unrelated to the hydraulic system.

You will have to take the wheel off and inspect. .. or take it to someone. Likely a wheel cylinder but could be a failed brake line. Find the source of the leak before replacing anything.
