Question about full coilover
I read a lot from this forum section but did not found something that answer to the following question :
A camber kit is needed in order to correct the alignment of wheels in case of drop. I think this is clear, that's not my question
So, what about true coilovers that allow to adjust the ride height on the fly?
Is the wheels alignement is modified each time an adjustement is done on the coilover?
I'm looking for changing all my suspensions witch is stock and really tired... And I'm not expert as you see and I would like to find something that will be bolt on without any special fitting need to be done like It seem to be the case for the koni strut.
Basically I'm looking for something very strong and that will allow a reasonable drop.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Every time you adjust the height you will need to adjust the camber to compensate. I Highly recommend a nice set of struts and some lowering spring. Full coil overs are nice but if you don't have the experience in setting them up they can be a pain, there are like a couple thousand different setups you can do with full coil overs because they are so adjustable. thousands of possibilities can = a lot of bad setups. If you want something simple and good I would go for a set of Tokico struts and some lowering springs you don't have to do all sorts of modifying and cutting with the Tokico's like you do on the koni's. I just got a set of Tokico D-spec's with adjustable dampening and a set of progress lowering springs (2in drop in the back and 1.8 in the front) from Paul at Dezod. There awesome, easy to use and pretty easy to install if you have any mechanical experience, and you don't have to cut up your old struts like the koni's
Yes, wheel alignments will be off each time height is adjusted. Therefore need to go for an alignment after height has been adjusted. For me, i adjust it twice a year (Spring / Winter) cause of snow, etc. Alignment shops should be able to adjust camber for you as well since it'll be affected as well. Good luck!

camber is the main thing that is adjusted when getting an alignment. toe and caster are also adjusted during alignment but caster usually is a lot harder to adjust especially on these civics. the more u drop ur car the more negative camber u have. so if u dont want to have to deal with adjustments just get shocks and springs. IMO and from suggestions, anytime u mess with suspension u should get an alignment

Ok thanks! That's what I was thinking. It's not right for me...
Now I'm hesitate between KYB AGX and Tokico D-Spec.
And Tein S.Tech or Neuspeed Sports...
Finally a SPC camber kit #60090
Am I forgetting something?

Nope, and just pick one...there really isn't gonna be much difference between those set ups.

Re: Question about full coilover
What coilovers adjust ride height? I think you misread some descriptions, and dampening is what can be adjusted "on the fly." ...meaning u can change the rebound rate of the strut whenever u want. For this, you dont need a camber adjustment.
Re: Question about full coilover
I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but our cars also have Mcpherson struts so with the proper coilovers, you won't need a camber kit for the front. It's built into the suspension. The only adjustment will be in the rear so you should be able to change on the fly without too much trouble.

Re: Question about full coilover
there are only two things i hate with my coilover.
- takes time to even out the ride height (removing the tires, putting them back on, checking the height of the left side against the right side, height on the front side to the back side)
- wheel alignment is needed after significant change in ride height (toe and camber)

Re: Question about full coilover
^ works for the front. you'll need another camber kit for the rear.
just make sure that you do not slice the camber plate when you adjust it. tein's camber plate is soft.
