HELP!!! Coilovers problem!

Hey guys,
My coilovers from the rear are making clicking noises... there's a black plastic part that has cracked and its rubbing against the rest of the coilovers... is this bad/replacable? I'm freakin' out!!!!

Look like Teins .. thats the dust boot ..you can trim it if you want, but you'll still have sounds. I got rid of my squeaks/clicks by greasing up the coilovers -- http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=177175

I didn't exactly go as hardcore as whats in that DIY, but they've been quiet for a good two weeks now so to that DIY guide (by not going as far, I just used white silicone lubricant (after cleaning with WD-40 and a brush)) Probably would have used that hardcore grease/anti-sieze lubricant but I couldn't find it

yep, thats the dust boot which needs to be cut. cut off about 2-3 inches off it and all your noise problems will go away.

this is such a small problem so dont even worry. its just a cheap piece of plastic that needs to be trimmed.

when i installed mine, the rear plastic piece is supposed to come off. that the only part that is supposed to be romved from them. re-do ur coilovers and take that off, and u should be good as long as ur shocks arent blown.
