make sure the adjustment locks are tight on the coilover... double check everything again.

Options:
Shorter tires - Dumb, waste of money, ruins rims
Stiffer Springs - better handling, worse ride, less travel means lower drop possible
Add Camber - puts tire inside fender, doesn't eat tires badly if toe is zeroed
Roll fenders - I hate body work.
215/45/17 can be dropped on pretty far if you do it right. My car sits static at a finger and a half (I don't know what that is in drop inches) on +38mm offset rims with 215/45/17 tires. It never rubbed with -.75 deg. of camber and now it damn sure doesn't rub with -1.6 deg. of camber. I don't understand what all this woo ha is about getting shorter tires. That just lets you lower the car in the wheelwells more, making your steering arm angle worse and making the wheel wells look bigger than they already are but it makes the car shorter overall because the height of the tire drops the car vs a taller tire. My car falls almost .75" when I switch to a 205/50/15 and I don't do anything to the suspension.

i already solved the rubbing problem by putting the OEM rims and tires on, then lowered the car to 1 1/2 finger gap and now get a clanking sound over bumps from the passenger rear and not the driver rear.

the perch on my coilover are set to barely preloading the spring. Did you install something wrong on the uppermount?
this might help
i had the same problem your exhaust might be touching the control arm cuz its so low well this happen to me but i dont know check it and see if thats the problem

that sound is your dust boot rubbing on the spring when it compresses

ive decided not to go with the 17's. i just want to figure out what the noise is....its probably the dust boot because it doesnt really make the sound unless i hit a hard bump and compresses the shock further than before because the shock is lower now that i changed back to stock rims. its like a thud noise. evrything is tight, i just went over everything today, took it all out and put it back in.....al tight.

the first time i cut i while i was assembling the teins, so it was off the car. the second time i did not want to take the whole thing apart again so i just did it with a steak knife while it was still on the car. little bit of a pain in the neck but still worth n taking the whole unit out again.
