installing springs and shocks...PROBLEM

After getting the tein springs onto the tokico shocks, we cant get it back onto the car. Its kinda hard to explain but we cant compress the spring enough to line up the 2 bolts that are on the shocks.

any ideas ?

we had that problem with Konis this weekend. Hold the brake upright so the axle stays in the transmission, and bring it down as far as you can. Then get your buddy to push up on the strut, get it lined up behind the knuckle and push it in. Its a bitch, you might have to put the spring compressor back on and pull the spring up so you can do it, but it will go.... you just gotta muscle it in.

You have both side jacked up? If not the swaybar might be holding the side your working on down.

i put the wheel on the hub, then put the scissors jack on top of the tire and the top of wheel well and pumped it up a bit. it doesnt take much and one person can get the shocks installed rather safely. better than laying underneath a jacked up car.

good luck.

I didn't have that problem installing front AGX on stock springs yesterday, but had it on the back. You have to use some muscle to make it be aligned, although, in the back i had to use the stock jack to push down the lower arm.
