Energy Suspension LCA Bushings
Energy Suspension LCA Bushings
For the past few months I had been noticing my front end getting a little more loose (started to remind me of my 94 Wrangler when I hit bumps) and was shuddering alot over bumps with wandering steering. Finally decided to get some ES bushings for my front LCA's. I got the bushings from clubrsx for $23 shipped (I couldn't find a price within $10 of this anywhere else). Since I am at school and have a road trip coming up, I did not have the ability to install these myself because of tools, a press, etc... so I had Honda install them for me. For reference it was 3.2 hours of labor (which is $45/hr. up here
).
As soon as I got in and drove of I immediately noticed a difference. The front end feels much more solid (keep in mind that my old bushings were shot - the driver's side one actually started to tear) and turn-in response caught me off guard. There is almost no lag between steering input and response. I don't feel that these bushings are too stiff or provide too much of a twitchy character to the car. I love them and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a more responsive car. I actually enjoy driving my car again
For reference my car is an 2001 EXCoupe with 46,000 miles. It has been on Koni's/H&R for 38,000 of those miles.
