suspension squeaking?

Lately when i have been driving in the freeway going like 70+ ive been hearing this kind of squeaking high pitched noise , and the place where sounds like it is coming from is the front left wheel, but im not sure. so any ideas? or if its a major problem that i should take in and get fixed or something? thanks

whats ur suspension set-up? more details...

if your just gonna take it in without knowing what it is, your gonna get owned in the *** for money big time. its like walking into a tire store and saying "i need new tires, whats the best model and size?"

I've got same issue. the squeaking is intermittant.

Got someone to look at it and was told that front shocks are leaking. Apparently its a 2001 civic with stock shocks and was told that it has lots of issues, I should take it to the dealer and ask them to replace it as the warrenty for them has been extended to 5ys/100,000 by Honda.

i am not sure how true the above information is but I am scheduled to take the car in sometime next week.

hope this helps.

are the wheels mounted and balanced correctly?
forgot what its called but i think "hub ring"? it looks like some sort of ring thats in-between the lugnuts and center rim. are you using that? not saying thats the problem, just my assumption.

well i have a 2002 and i remember hearing there was problems with the 01s, but the rear struts isnt where the noise is coming from, so maybe ill just take it in and ask like 50 questions before i allow them to work on my car, otherwise ill just leave

matrix311 is on a distinguished road
just make sure everything is tight. Make sure the wheel is on tight, make sure the tie rods are tight, make sure the 3 screws on the topmount of the strut under the hood are tight, make sure the center bolt on the top of the strut under the hood is tight, and lastly make sure the 2 large strut mount bolts are tight, the 2 bolts that connect the struts to the control arm. usually it's something loose, thats what its always been in my situation. go and tighten everything you can, if you still have the noise take it in. also maybe make sure your alignment isn't off.
