ROCKET JOCKEY has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Help me !

Guys and gals I need some help ! I just bought a 2004 Civic Ex, while on leave from Iraq . I purchased some Nakayama 17'' X7 and now I want to lower it . Remember I want to retain most of the ride quality, but want to make the stance as aggresive as possible . How low can I drop it with keeping most of the ride quality and what springs do I need ?

Eibach pro kit and koni yellows are what i have on mine, ride quality is almost identical to stock. the sportline would be more of a drop than the prokit. try to avoid sleeved coilovers as they tend to bounce, unless you shell out ~$1000 for a full set of coilovers like the tein.

i have neuspeed race (2.25) on stock shocks.. and to be honest, the ride isn't that much worse then stock... Since ur car is new, the shocks won't blow right away. Id say just get springs and shocks later, or get full coilovers which start at 600 bux i believe . It depends if u have the money or not however with 17s, u wont need to lower it as much as 2.25 unless u want a reallly agressive look. If u get like a 1 inch drop, ur shocks will last sometime.

Look into the new tokico? shocks that came out recently. They're supposed to be the best. Then you can get whatever springs you want.

Please read the suspension FAQ and search the forum. People are going to tell you different things because everyone wants different things from their car. Gearbox is suggesting Tokico D-Spec dampers which have 16 way adjustable dampening, but it doesn't seem you want that. It is highly beneficial to you to read the FAQ in my sig, search for relevant topics in this forum and decide. Other than that it will just be differences of opinions.

Robbclark1, you know of anyone with the Tokico D-specs ? Very interested to take a look at what's included in the kit as well as the drop.
