KYB or B&G

Hi guys, I dont know much about suspension upgrades. I read most of the threads here but didnt find the answer I was looking for.

I got a turbo kit for my 2002 sedan and a few related upgrades. Now I was thinking about suspension and lowering my car a bit.

Would lowering the car improve performance for drag races?
If I need to lower the car should just buy the springs or coilovers?
And if I do buy the coilovers should I go for B&G or KYB AGX?

Thankx!

please search around first, this has been covered many times before.

It is up to you if you want lowering springs, adjustable coilovers, or full coilovers. What are you specifically looking for?

Also the KYB's are struts, not coilovers or springs. And besides, they arent out yet for our car. You have to choose between koni, and tokico for performance struts with springs or adjustable coilovers.

springs will just give you a certain drop, adjustable coilovers will allow you to drop your ride usually 0-4 '', and full coilovers are a spring and shock kit that also allow you to adjust your ride height. With the springs and adjustable coilovers, you can use your stock shocks, but it is better to go with performance ones so they dont blow on you. And you will get a better ride with performance struts.

Now if you want adjustable coilovers, you can either get ground controls or skunk2. There are some others, but these 2 are the best.

If you want full coilovers, you can get B&G, tein Basic, tein SS, progress competition, D2, hayame, and some others but I cant think of the name.

I say get either Tein basic, tein ss, or B&G. Stay away from hayame because so many people are having problems with them. The other ones, I really havent heard too many reviews on. And not many people have them.

Yes I have read about the problems people are having with Hayames. Do you know what the price difference between Tein's and B&G? B&G are around $900.

By the way what setup do you have?

I have eibach springs and konis, cause I didnt want full coilovers, I just like having a nice drop. But tein basics are around $865 and tein ss are around $1075, that is www.robearracing.com prices, but they are different everywhere.

Do you think B&G are better or Teins (in terms of drag racing)?

honeslty, I dont know about the drag racing stuff, but alot of people said they like B&G's over teins because they can slam there ride with the B&G's, and alot say they wish they could go lower with the teins. But alot of members are happy with both.

Search through the suspension forum, there is alot about B&Gs and teins.
