was i stupid for ordering Hayame coilovers?
Ive done ALOT of reading these past couple days, and am scared I ordered junk. There are a few i.e. Grey, that have been succesfull, to a degree, but a lot of others who have had some serious issues. Now im scared, and think I might send them back once they arrive
Dude, why did you ever order it if you read the previous topics? You're making it harder for the vendor(s).
Try it and see if you encounter some problems. Who knows, you could be one of the lucky ones that never had any problems.
You are the only one who can prove to yourself if you're stupid or not.
EDIT:
And you dont have to create three different threads for Hayame. You are creating work for Admins/Mods to merge them three threads.

I bought them, install went fine, just the typical BS problems here and there that I have with every install.
I did not like the ride thought it was too ruff, some people talk some sense into me. I am not being fair in judging it because I have still not set/adjusted them properly. I thought the back was very bounce, did not have enough pre load., I did not adjust the back but I put back in my sub box and the extra weight made a big improvement. I am hopefully going to adjust it this weekend and get a wheel alignment. Then I will post a fair assesment for them. Thinking about it is a a 650 shock and that is what i paid for.
I do not think they will be close to what I was hoping but I think I will be able to deal with it for the time being.

i'm in the same boat as you are guy. but i ordered it before everybody started to have beef with it.....i'm clueless now on what to do. plz have no problems < crossing fingers>
uh, safest thing to do is have a professional install it. I'm sure they're fine if you do it right.
That's not to say you can't do it yourself and get it right, there's several ppl who can testify to successful DIYs. But if a shop screws it up, you can take it up with them.

I agree. Have it profesionally installed. That way, you can blame somebody else's and not yourself
In my case, I have had three different shop who tried fixing them but no luck. SPW Industries did a troubleshoot on the struts when I went to their warehouse, but no luck.

I think he warped something cause the top middle nut was loose.
BTW: mine are still going strong. No problems with my coilovers once I tightened everything up. Installed with a buddy in his home garage.

so then the Hayame's aren't what they are cracked up to be? or are you saying that the "installer" is who screws them up...cuz I was thinking of buying them and have read a little bit about them but now not too many people are happy with them so i am confused

Basically they're $650 coilovers. They're not Teins so don't go thinking you're getting Teins for super cheap. But they're not a ripoff at $650. What they're "cracked up to be" is in your own mind. I got my money's worth and more for the price I paid. Read all the testimonials again and draw your own conclusions.
