Suspension Techniques question

Has anyone heard of a lowering spring becoming 'sprung'? By this I mean the spring becomes so stiff you can put all your weight on it and it won't budge. Mind you these were in a box on a shelf for 3 years after being on my car. I know that lowering springs are a little softer but I'm curious.

Maybe, but it doesn't seem right. But I think the opposite could happen. If you put alot of weight on springs, they will eventually stay lower. Is that true? Cause then I could just ride around with bricks in my car for a while until the car lowers itself

Did they not feel that way when you took them off your car?

Not that I remember, it was 1.25" drop and I wanted to put them back on after having on the 1.75" drop. After putting them on the car was jacked up and the cars weight didn't settle them either. Stiff as a board.

hmm. Where were they stored. I don't see why they would do that. They should be fine unless they rusted.

They were stored in a gargage. I live in Florida so I didn't know if humidity and heat would have anything to do with it??
