Eibach prokit with camber kit?
Before anyone says anything, I searched and couldnt find the answer I was looking for. My parents told me one of my Christmas presents was a Eibach prokit springs for the vic.
The kit is coming in Wed. and will be installed there. Now for the question: Would I need to get a camber kit to adjust the springs so I dont have premature tire wear? What about an alignment? Would it be better to wait for the springs to settle before checking on the wheel alignment. Thanx.

I wouldnt get camber kit with eibach prokit springs. I would suggest you to get alignmenet after drop , although i havn't got mine done yet. My car pulls to the right lol. Let spring settle for about day or two then take your car in for alignment.

your ride quality will probably lessen. Aftermarket springs are usually stiffer than stock springs. Anytime you do stuff to your suspension to make it handle better, you usually lose ride quality. I don't think it will be that bad with the prokit. They aren't race designed so they aren't lowering that far and they probably don't have that stiff of a spring rate.
and BTW it is EIBACH not EIBACK.

Eibachs are by far the best spring manufature for quality. I would recomend to have the alignment checked imediately after the springs are installed. Then recheck the alignment if you notice any tire wear or handling issues. On my Eibachs I instaled them on a sunday, aligned it on monday went back like 5 weeks alignment was still good. As for camber kits. Only an alignment machine can tell you if you need them. As a rule of thumb thou, you will prolly be barely within camber specs after the springs are installed. But this is not always true. as for the springs settling i saw next to none on mine.
at what point is a camber kit necessary? is there a certain drop hieght that is pushing the limit? and if i would get a ground control coilover sleeve and koni yellows, would the camber plates be needed?

camber kits are never usually necessary. They save your tires. though it is wise to have a camber kit any time you lower, usually anything over 1" won't ruin your tires too much. If you notice that they are getting ruined then invest in a camber kit. Camber plates are usually used by racers. They allow quick adjustment of camber so that racers can put their camber highly negative at a race. You don't need them. You only can get front camber plates and a front camber kit for our car is only like $20 where as camber plates are $200-500.
from experience i would recommend camber kits for any lowered car ust cause it optimizes your handling as well tire wear. think of it like this your toe bein out a couple points of a degree will make you car ill handle and tires wear. Im not sayin you HAVE to im sayin you should . Any little bit your rear tired lean in is killin your skidtest per say. just my opinion. i agree with robb on this one. Also you need no camber kit for front in most cases , 01 and newer civics will need to camber front more so than wishbone cause wishbone has both an upper and lower control arm which is better for keepin wheel stright up and down no matter what load , where as macpherson if you ask me is junk.
