Koni Noise
so i got a set of konis about 2 months ago. they worked great, no problems or anything. But then a few days ago, i had a few friends in the car and i kept hearing this popping sound, as if the shocks were bumping or hitting something. And it doesnt start sounding like that until i drive for a while. I've had a full car when i juss put on the shocks, it didnt make this sound. I duno what to do cause konis are replaceaple struts, and dont have the original ones anymore. Any suggestions or comments would be helpful.
thanks

If a clunk is being made, I'm very inclined to say it's the springs. Might want to try not so severe a drop in the rear.
Otherwise. . . hmm, is this sound in the front or rear? (Will make a HUGE difference)
If it's in the rear, they're a direct replacement. . . no cutting of the stock shock housing to insert the Koni into. If it's the front, then I'm guessing they didn't get the tophat on in the right direction.
Basically, there are arrows on both the tophat and the shock assembly for the fronts. Line them up, and the mounting angle for the fronts will be perfect. . . . don't line them up, and they'll make a noise when there's enough travel in the suspension. It's a pretty easy mistake to make, and the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking that may be all you're experiencing. . . . . IF. . . IF it's the front.
Please specify.

another thing it might be is that the bottom bolt on the front strut insert is loose, causing the strut insert to move up and down and clunk. check both of the bottom allen style bolts that go up into the strut for tightness.
