4 to 5 adapters
4 to 5 adapters
Have a set of Audi 2001 wheels bought from tire rack 17" very light.where for my winter tires but not needed now, thinking on using a stud adapter 4 lug Honda to 5 lug Audi rims.anybody know of wheel adapters? Are they safe, pros cons?
Re: 4 to 5 adapters
I've been running 2" adaptors for a few years, I had them fabricated at a place that makes truck wheel adaptors. But mine are 4 bolt to 4.
mine use two sets of lug nuts. One for adaptor to rotor, the other for wheel to adaptor. So far they have always stayed tight, after 3-6month checks. (Not sure if 4 to 5 lug is possible with the limited spacing, to run proper dual lug adaptors)
....
Cons, not legal for public roads in some areas.

Re: 4 to 5 adapters
the adapter will push the wheel outwards, so you will need to check if it will actually fit on the civic.
7th gen civic are 38mm off-set?
tighten well the adapters - you will not be able to see if they are loosening since wheel will be on top.
