Rims... 15 or 16 with drop?
Rims... 15 or 16 with drop?
I just got an 01 ex, but it has hubcaps. Rims are a number one priority-nothing fancy, just something good looking. I'm on a tight budget and trying to decide 15 inch or 16 inch.
15: Stock, cheaper tires, no worries about rubbing.
16: Worried bout rubbing, expensive tires, less mpg due to heavier weight, pay for recalibrated speedometer
Thing is I want to do a small drop sometime within a year (probably around a year away) and I don't know how it would look with 15 inch wheels.
I could really use some opinions on this and if you have pictures of like a 1 inch drop on 15s or even on 16s I would appreciate it being posted. In case it matters... I put on around 15k a year, with lots of highway, winter, and snow driving. Cash is tight so I don't want to change my mind later. Tires can't be low profile, have to be all-season. Thanks!

16" is still relatively light and most rims out there that are on the nicer side, will be even lighter than stock.
u shouldnt have any rubbing issues with 16 if u dont run anything higher than a 205 width tire.
i think 16 is the best size for our civics regarding performance, tire profile, and ride quality.
205/50/16 tire would be the best of all words.

^ yeah, that size will have similar to same outer diameter, so no need to recalibrate speedo.
Also, you will only have rubbing issues if you go too low, but with that size, not likely to happen.
Heck, if you put a 205/70R15 it might rub at stock height.

Okay but if I go 16s, then wouldn't I need a lower profile tire? Aren't lower profile tires not as good in snow? Thanks... don't know a ton about this stuff
