Rep Power: 0 Weird ABS operation or is this normal?
This is the first car I've driven where the ABS brakes worked (or didn't have).
This happens about 95% of the time if I'm driving along at moderate speed, about 15-30mph+ and hit a considerable bump or pothole or other piece of shitty road that makes you bump up in your seat, and braking. With any pressure except extremely light, the ABS motor/action sounds like it goes really fast, which I think is normal speed, but it goes off in one or both wheels sometimes for about 1 - 1.5 sec and it sounds like a fast drum roll speed
My guess is that the bump is causing that tire/side to lose traction just enough that the ABS kicks in? I thought it was supposed to stop once you have a non skidding wheel again.
I don't know if this is normal or if that's a problem. It has been in an accident where the front left wheel, axle, and suspension were damaged, so they were recently replaced.

We dont have traction control we only have regular abs brakes, could be a problem

Maybe during the bump there is less tire on the ground, so less traction. ABS reads that and is applied, makes sense right?

familiarize your self with abs

(dont worry about reading the BBK part, just the description of what ABS is actually doing)
