this is just what i learned in school. so to get you some facts, i just sent e-mails to baer, wilwood, brembo, and rotora. i'll update my findings here (or in another thread) as soon as i get replays. what kind of exposure do you have? is it like mesophelioma or something? j/k i've always been told it was bad even before i was in school, and every time i see painted calipers, i just cringe. i won't even ride in a car with them. i guess it's just "better safe than sorry." i'll diffently keep everyone posted though when i get some facts from some companies...

what color would be best for mine? "see my ride" my rims are like bronze, and i doubt red cailpers would look good, what do u guys think?

Well its a good possibility on the cancer as ive been doing brakes for almost 20 years on a daily basis, only time will tell I look forward to your e-mail updates.

i would think powdercoat would trap heat more than a few thin layers of paint.

As long as you use thin coats, i don't think you have to worry about overheating the brakes on a daily driver. People spray paint their intercoolers black sometimes using thin coats and there isn't a temperature difference afterwards.
