Brake question
Brake question
I have aftermarket brake pads and i was woundering should i go with a slotted rotor? I have heard of bad things happen with them? can someone let me know what brand they would use where i can get some?
Thanks
Thanks
I would do a little searchy..... I'm pretty sure that I've heard that they dont work well because there is less surface area on them and as a result, they heat up faster and cause ur rotors to warp easier.....

slotted rotors evacuate heat and gases faster from between the pad and rotor and are not any more likely to warp than stock rotors

They're MORE likely to warp than blank face rotors because the slots cause a temperature gradient across the face. They're also more likely to develop stress risers and cracks, and are less effective at stopping than a blank.
