lug bolt problem

lug bolt problem
a while back I broke one of my lug bolts which holds my wheel on. So i went over and bought a new one and went and tried to put it on...and of course its a bitch! Does any one know how to do this? I tried taking the brake caliper off and it seems to me like theres this shield behind the rotor that blocks the lig bolt from entering threw the back...ne one know how to put a new one in?
