Horrible gas mileage
Hi,
I have a 2025 Sport Touring Hybrid Civic. In the first few months the gas mileage was about 4.9L. In the last few months that figure has increased slowly to 5.6L-5.9L. I took it to the dealership's service department but I was told this is normal in winter due to the "Winter Gas". Companies add something to their gas in winter which causes this increase and if you want the technicians to really diagnose it bring the car when the weather is not cold, sometime in mid spring or later. Then they will be able to adequately test it???? I'm not sure how correct is this.
Does anyone know if this is normal? For a less than a year old hybrid car 5.9L gas consumption is like a non-hybrid consumption to me.
Thank you for your feedback.
