Oil burning fix?

Was detailing the interior of the car when I decided to check the oil, the dipstick was basically empty. Attached are 2 different checks of oil. I get my oil change around every 4-5k miles, so it shouldn't be an issue with lacking oil changes. I did add Mobil-1 when I saw it was low/basically empty, and then I performed an oil change 3 days later, in which there was no visible leak. This leads me to believe that it is burning oil, which if I'm not mistaken it shouldn't. I am apparently burning oil at around 1 quart per thousand miles, I'm asking to see if anyone else had the same issue, if thats normal, and if theres a fix?
