High gas prices: Are you sticking with Civic?
High gas prices: Are you sticking with Civic?
With the price of oil still climbing, it seems likely that gas prices will be on the rise. I had been thinking about another car, maybe an Accord, but now I don't know. I know the Accord has good mpg, but not as good as the Civic. Are high gas prices persuading anyone to hold on to their Civics?
^^yup, i was gona get a g35 coupe but the friggin gas prices is gona leave me broke cuz of the payments on the car, insurance an i have to put premium gas in it too, so im jus gona keep my civic a little while longer, if u want to save money cuz of gas prices y dont u get a hybrid

well, i am gonna have the vic for at least another 3 yrs. But when i get a new car, it will be a faster one...........but definitely not a V8.
for now, until its paid off completely (next summer) even though its turbo i might get something different...looking at 02-03 WRX's and even a 01+GT or mach1 mustang...i know i know, but those black ones with bullet rims is down right sexy!

It's the only reason I got a Civic. I had a fullsize 4x4 that got maybe 16MPG in the city. I was spending $80+ per month on gas. Now, I spend ~$15 a month. I'll keep this for at least another 3 years but, after that, I'll probably get another vette or maybe the CTS-V cadillac or a mercedes.

All in all, i've found the civic to suck more and more the longer I have it. It's loud on the highway, creaks and rattles, has uncomfortable seats, and a leaking windshield that just can not be fixed for some reason. And it has tons of other problems like squeaky seats, loose panels, no stock rear camber adjustment, harsh suspension, etc etc. I'll probably never buy another Honda. German and American cars are soooo much better.
Civics have great MPG comparing with other cars, here in Puerto Rico, we have heavy traffic in Metropolitan Area, so the Gas doesn't last much in the tank, but comparing 250 miles per tank with the 2001 Pontiac Sunfire I had, I prefer the 325 per tank that my Civic gives me.
