Exclamation New Civic won't start?!

Hey all!
I have a new 2025 Civic gas hatchback that I bought in December. It's been great. I drove it home from work last night, parked it, locked it. went inside. This morning it didn't open when I touched the handle. I was able to open it with the key fob unlock, but the car didn't start.
I got a message, "touch the emblem of the fob to the start button to start the car" or somesuch, which I did, but nothing happened. I can't get it into neutral as there's no override, so the car needs a service with lifts. Fast forward 8 hours, multiple visits from different tow services, multiple calls to Honda Roadside Assistance later and I'm currently waiting for a tow service for which I need to pay out of pocket - and might be reimbursed.

I changed the battery in the fob. No luck.

Have any of you experienced this? What is going on? The car is less than four months old!
