Those without armrests
Those without armrests
I recently purchased a 2001 Civic LX and was surprised to find out that it never came with an armrest from the factory. At first I thought it wasn't a big deal but with my lengthly daily work commute it has proven to be a bigger and more annoying problem than I had thought.
I know you can retro fit a factory swivel armrest into the side of the driver's seat, but I am wondering if anyone else has found a cheaper/quicker/easier down and dirty way to have an armrest?
So far I'm thinking about giving this a shot:
but I am looking at the dimensions and comparing it to the crevices around my center console area and I'm not sure if it will fit.
Another idea I have is to find a random big block of hard form and cut it to perfectly wedge into the storage cubby to the left of my ebrake and have it extend upwards to make a makeshift armrest...
Thanks

Re: Those without armrests
Probably easier and potentially cheaper to grab a center console with an armrest from a junkyard and install that.
