Unhappy 2010 Civic vents/AC work fine for a short time, then seem to seize up.

Hey guys,

My 2010 Civic has been having problems this hot summer. When I start my car before a trip any longer than 15-20 minutes, I start to get some problems. It starts out fine, the AC could be a bit stronger, but it works fine. Then after about 15-20 minutes, the vents are pushing out just about zero air even on full, with a strange wizzing sound. The only way to fix this is to stop the AC and vents all together and then restart after another 15-20 minutes or stop the car and I guess let it cool off.

Very odd.

Anyone else ever experience this?

Thanks

Overcharged and the evaporator is freezing up maybe?

Not a symptom of system overcharged.
Compressor is supposed to cycle. It's supposed to cycle OFF before the evaporator reaches freezing point.
Why is the compressor not cycling off at the correct temp?

Do you also have to jump start the car some mornings?
