Hi Everyone
I am new to the forum so a big hello to you all.
Prior to my current Honda have owed 4 previous Honda's.
My current Honda is the Civic S I-Dsi 1.4 2006 manual 5 Dr around 120 000 on the clock. The problem I am experiencing is this, a loud buzzer/foghorn noise that occurs when I have been stuck in traffic say for 10 mins and having to depress the clutch and change gears. It's sounds like it's coming from the engine and only lasts a few seconds but will go off randomly until I start driving freely again from the stop/start traffic. The sound is loud enough to be heard by people walking on the pavement (embarrassing). There are no warning lights on the dash when this occurs and my temperature gauge remains the same so no overheating. Any idea what it could be? Unfortunately I'm not one for understanding all the technical jargon so as simple an explanation would be much appreciated. I ask you guys so I have some idea of what it could be before I go to a garage who may try and rip me off. Thanks
