loud whirring/whining/grinding noise 87 civic
Hi,
Recently purchased an 87 Honda civic GL 5speed standard with 214,000km on it car makes a loud whirring/whining/grinding noise when runnin, if I put the clutch down it goes away tried loosening up the clutch thinking it was a throw bearing noise this didn't help at all the noise is still the in first second and third it is loud and very audible in fourth and fifth the sound is undetectable this may be unrelated but I am not sure any thought s on what may be causeing this problem? Is it the throw bearing but it's just so destroyed it wont ever shut up or is it a transmission issue clutch issue or something in the engine? Help me out I just drove the car 500km from home and am concerned I will not make it back any advice would be helpful.
