LS4 Swap?
LS4 Swap?
Thinking of putting an LS4 in an EK but all I've been seeing is that it's a bad swap.
Is it just because it's a FWD engine or is there other reasons to not swap it?
Is there a better LS swap that I could do or a better non-Vtec swap that I could look into?
Also hoping to see if I could find anyone who has done it and could give me some tips.
(All I could find was an RSX that was swapped)
Thanks!

Re: LS4 Swap?
The engine probably weighs about as much as the car lol
For the money you could K24 turbo swap and it would be quicker.
I’m sure there’s some reinforcement you can do, but I can’t see a hatch handling well with it being so damn heavy up front. It just wasn’t designed for it.

Re: LS4 Swap?
Sure all you would have to do is
Place the engine would be up front, then you would need to gut the front dash, cut apart the firewall, position your transmission in the front cab, cut a tunnel for your driveshaft, mount all of that, weld a new firewall and tunnel cover, mount the rear differential, change out the axles and knuckles, and run a custom drive shaft; then reinforce the now broken frame. Not to mention ecu, harness, dash pinout and rewiring, a customer clutch setup and pretty much every other system on the car.
you could try mounting the LS to a honda transmission, but I highly doubt it would fit in a transaxle configuration. A j30 v6 swap would be easier, since that's been done transaxle, so you could at least find some tips.
