Junkyard Swap help
Junkyard Swap help
I am currently on the lookout for a b20b from a CR-V to swap into my 2000 Honda Civic coupe. I am most likely going to be pulling it from a junkyard, what are some things I should do to freshen up the engine before I swap it into my car. New water pump, oil pump, etc..
If you have any other tips on swapping, I am open ears as this will be my first time swapping an engine. Thank you so much!

Re: Junkyard Swap help
Crv will be awd, won't it? May not work if you pull the rear driveshaft.
But rebuild wise
-valve seals
-camshaft seal
-valve cover seal
-main seals
-oil pan seal/liquid gasket
-new
Rings
Bearings (connecting rod/main)
Plugs
Probably other stuff I forgot, but rings and bearings are the main issues of high mileage engines.
