Civic - Battery Drain on AC Circuit
Civic - Battery Drain on AC Circuit
Hi everyone!
I have a 2004 Civic SI and I've been having some battery drain issues. I would love some help!
My battery would die if I leave my car off for ~36 hours. But I've been able to troubleshoot it to know that if I remove fuse #1 under the hood, my battery won't drain over night. From what I understand, this fuse controls the AC condenser, as well as the condenser fan.
Does anyone have any more tips on how I can figure out what on this circuit is the issue? How can I tell if it's the relays, or the components itself, or perhaps something else?
And what actually triggers the condenser fan or condenser relays to kick in? Is it completely separate from the coolant temp sensor that kicks the radiator fan on?
thank you everyone!!
