Hello. I have an 01 Civic that I didnt have the key for when I bought it so I bought a new ignition from a local Honda specialty used parts yard. I also realized that the ECU had burned out so I bought a new ECU from the same place. They are pretty knowledgeable so I am confident about the compatibility. There was also an aftermarket alarm installed that I removed and replaced all broken connections. The car will not turn over. The starter will not engage from the key. I jumped the starter and the starter is not bad. I get a clicking sound in the under hood fuse box and its coming from a large silver relay. I decided then that I would attempt to check the OBD for codes or any type of hints but the OBD scanner wont sync. It just turns off. If anybody has any ideas or help they can give me I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance, -Ben

Did you ever figure out the problem? I did the same replacement and it has me stumped
